Hua Hin Hash House Harriers (H2H3), a mixed hash, was founded on 8 th July 2000 by Tom and May Crowley.        H2H3 celebrated its 5 th Anniversary in 2005. Initially the runs were held once a month and a year later it became a twice        monthly hash running every other Saturday. We had only 4 runners on our first run and on our 5 th Anniversary we had        more than 50. As the town of Hua Hin grew, so did the hash community.

Past GM Ballbanger (2003-2005), a veteran hasher, has done a remarkable job reviving H2H3 after his tour of       duty in the Middle East in 2004. He more than made up for his absence while he was still the GM of H2H3 when his       country needed his service. It took a medical condition to straighten his priorities and his country’s lost is H2H3’s gains       ever since. The best kept secret is, it is also his unmentionable, Kob’s gain, and she is convinced that if she can keep       Ballbanger’s mind on hashing all the time, he will forget about patriotism. Hence, she is forever doing things for H2H3 from       designing hash shirts, creating the website to supplying drinks and munchies for every hash run.

Past GM Doug East (2002-2003), another veteran hasher, is still chasing the pot of oil at the end of the rainbow.       Working on oil rigs in the remoteness of nations, he is a long-distance H2H3 faithfully who calls Hua Hin home and oil rigs       his slimming spa. He is always the envious of H2H3 hashers on the runs with his speed and slim built figure.

As for the founders, May and Tom, veterans of hashes in Malaysia, Thailand and USA, they are forever shuttling      between US and the Fast East, calling US their home, the Fast East a home away from home and with H2H3 like a light-     bulb on their minds, wondering if this child is going to be left wing or right wing or no wing; stay hashingly correct or     incorrect or counter-correct. But one thing for sure is that hashing is an ideal way to see the spectacular and tranquil     countryside around Hua Hin, to meet old and new friends, enjoy a few beers and some local fares with them afterwards,     and everything else is just “mai pen rai”……Never mind; It's cool; Don't get mad, get glad; Take it easy; No worries;     Oh well, I can't do any damn thing about it.
